Box Tops for Education

PTO will award 4 Root Beer/Orange Float Parties since we had four classes that submitted over 400 Box Tops each. We received approx. $675 in Box Tops for Education in August. With the $450 submission from the end of last school year, we are already looking at over $1000 toward the check issued in December. We still have September & October to add to that amount.

Candy & Small Toys Needed

Classroom teachers give small rewards for Rocket Tickets and we need your help. If you can donate a bag of candy or a few small toy items, it will greatly help our efforts to implement School Wide Positive Behavioral Supports. PTO is also coordinating parent volunteers to help run our Reward Store on Fridays. Please let us know if you are interested in helping in this project.

Girl Scout Sign-Ups Sept. 13, 6 PM
Girl Scout leaders will hold sign-ups for the 2010-2011 year on September 13, 6:00 PM, in the Eaton Elementary cafeteria.Principal's Night In

Mrs. Malone will host a Principal's Night In on Tuesday, September 14 at 6:00. Come early for a snack supper and then join together with other parents as we work to improve our school. Your input into school programs is crucial and will be incorporated into the School Improvement Plan. You will have a free supper, meet other parents, and brainstorm ideas. Child Care is provided.

Thank you for joining Eaton PTO. Congratulations to Second Grade who will receive a popsycle party, extra recess, and books for their classrooms from the Book Fair. Coming in second was 4th grade followed by 3rd, 1st, and K/Pre-K. We appreciate all the support from our Eaton parents!
Lenoir City Wins Battle of Bridge Food Drive

With your help The Good Samaritan Center received more than 127,000 pounds of food. Lenoir City led the way this year and took home the Battle of the Bridge Honors for the food drive. Click the link for story in the Loudon County News-Herald article.
Report Cards Go Home September 23
In response to parent surveys, report cards will continue to list state standards for each grading period, but a letter grade will also be assigned in grades 2-4.

Mark your calendars now for September 29 -- the date of this year's
fundraiser. We invite all parents to come and walk with us as we raise money to fund the school's technology, instructional, and enrichment programs. The theme this year is "BE A STAR" and the prizes are better than ever!
